EU funding for JTC Training project

SLOVENIA, November 22 - The JTC (Judicial Training Centre) Training project aims to modernise and expand the judicial education system to ensure a more efficient, flexible and modern justice system. The objectives of the project include adapting the competences model to the specific needs of the judiciary, improving the speed and efficiency of judicial procedures, strengthening the protection of the most vulnerable groups, supporting economic development and closing the digital divide. The project also aims to increase the number of staff attending professional training courses.

The project will result in developing and updating the competences and skills model, upgrading the system for measuring competence development and expanding training programmes for employees. A key focus will be on more significant involvement of target groups and topics addressing social and economic challenges and changes such as the green transition, digitalisation and sustainable development.

The beneficiary of the EU funding is the Ministry of Justice, namely the Judicial Training Centre, which will implement the project. The project will contribute to a more competent workforce, a more efficient justice system and confidence in the rule of law. The long-term effects of the project will also result in a more stimulating economic environment, greater legal certainty and broader social progress.

The project, worth a total of 1,390,000 euros, will receive 824,965 euros of European Social Fund Plus support.
