Five million euros in EU funding for healthy and quality ageing

SLOVENIA, February 18 - As part of the EU co-funded project, the Ministry of Health and the National Institute of Public Health will implement activities, interventions and measures to facilitate the development and implementation of interdisciplinary preventive treatment of pre-frailty at the primary healthcare level. These activities will also improve health and digital literacy, awareness, strengthening and maintaining physical and mental health and reducing health inequalities in older adults.

The project “Systemic treatment of frailty with a focus on pre-frailty for healthy and quality ageing” – “Frailty treatment” is part of Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027 and is implemented under priority Enhancing the equal and timely access to quality, sustainable and affordable services, including services that promote the access to housing and person-centred care including healthcare; modernising social protection systems, including promoting access to social protection, with a particular focus on children and disadvantaged groups; improving accessibility including for persons with disabilities, effectiveness and resilience of healthcare systems and long-term care services.

The European Social Fund Plus will contribute nearly 5 million euros for the project worth 8,066,000 euros, namely 4.999.890,61 euros.
