EU funding for a swimming pool in Krško
SLOVENIA, April 23 - As part of the EU-funded project, the Urban Municipality Krško will renovate 20,144.5 square metres of underused space, providing citizens with a new sports complex that will offer both recreational areas and the organisation and realisation of competitive swimming competitions at municipal, regional and wider levels. The investment will also enable implementing pre-school, primary and extracurricular swimming programmes, which will help eliminate swimming illiteracy in the municipality.
The project Swimming pool in Krško is implemented under Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027, priority Sustainable development of local areas, and pursues the specific objective Fostering the integrated and inclusive social, economic and environmental development, culture, natural heritage, sustainable tourism, and security in urban areas.
The European Regional Development Fund will contribute 3,825,000.00 euros for the project worth 14,824,352.37 euros.
